[somewhere, deep in the forest, there's a sudden shriek, a series of thumps, and then a final thud that sounds sickeningly like a body hitting the ground hard.

and then horrible zapping sounds.

anyone wandering past would notice a hole's suddenly opened up in the ground - quite a deep hole -and there's a woman crumpled in a heap at the bottom of it. more noticeably, vines keep trying to dive in after her (and since when do vines move that frantically, anyway, not to mention of their own accord?), but hitting a force field covering the top of the hole.

and then they burn to a crisp in mere moments.

every time one burns, the woman in the hole winces. that might be one of the reasons she doesn't seem inclined to stand up. in fact it looks like she hasn't moved from where she fell.

any psychics in the area might be receiving a broadcast of pain, anger, and steadily increasing fear.]

[withdrawing quickly, with a grimace that in another person would probably accompanied by 'sorry'.

[looks like she wants to reach out to her but stops, curling her fingers into a fist]

This was a bad idea. I can't keep doing this to you or Scott.

[totally pretending she didn't see that]

You're hardly doing anything to either of us.

I already decided to end this before it started and now look at us. We're trapped in a pit.

He'll come looking for you sooner or later.

[getting up, and walking - albeit wincing as she moves - to a spot on the opposite side of the hole away from Jean. not exactly opposite...just a point where they're almost as far away as possible without having to stare at each other.]

[laughs]

Yeah. Sure.

[leaning her head back against the side]

I spy with my little eye...

[And so a 'merry' little game happens in the pit until Camp sees fit to let them both out]
